In the United States, Glenda Crawford buys a horse from Argentinian Ricardo Quintana, but the sale is canceled when the latter's father, Casiano, objects because of a long-standing grudge against the Crawfords. Nevertheless, when Glenda visits Argentina on vacation, the pair disregard their family feud and fall madly in love amidst the lush scenery and buoyant local entertainment, which includes performances from Carmen Miranda .
