A gun collector, Hanawa, is arrested and convicted of possessing illegal firearms. He's sentenced to three years inside a minimum-security prison. Although the facility is no hell on earth, most people would understandably hate the ordeal -- but not Hanawa, who considers the clockwork minutiae of prison life anything but depressing. He finds an odd comfort in his daily routines and feels that he is more whole with his fellow prisoners than with the world beyond the walls.
