Barry Craig, a writer of detective fiction, takes it upon himself, with the aid of his wife, Jane, to solve a series of puzzling murders. The first killing takes place at a photography studio where Julie, Jane's strangely foresightful friend, works. After a stubborn socialite is found dead before her photo shoot, everyone starts pointing fingers -- including Inspector Clinton -- at the obvious suspects, yet nothing is at is seems.
