Victor Mancini has a day job as a reenactor at a colonial theme park. With his mother, Ida, institutionalized for dementia, Victor supplements his legitimate income by pretending to choke at restaurants and borrowing money from his sympathetic saviors. When a doctor at his mother's facility tells him Ida's condition is deteriorating, she offers a radical suggestion for an experimental stem cell treatment that could save his mother's life.
