Drug addict Sandra, at age 23, voluntarily enters a Stockholm drug rehabilitation clinic after an overdose. As she attempts to better her own life, she learns that her junkie roommate, Roffe, is forcing Sandra's clean-cut younger sister, Jannika, into a life of drugs and prostitution. As flashbacks tell the story of the girls' tragic upbringing, Sandra leaves the clinic in hopes of saving her sister.
