Feckless female private eye Shirley Travis disguises herself as the stalwart fox huntress Lady Diana Drummond in order to take down international con artist Countess Helenka and her henchmen before she can marry the Duke of St. Pancras and swindle him out of his great fortune so he can't leave it to his valiant son Geoffrey . Farcical misunderstandings, slapstick comedy and lavish musical numbers ensue.
