Cynthia doesn't have the easiest life. Her father died when she was young, and her brother, Juan, is a drug dealer. Despite this, Cynthia takes inspiration from Anne Frank's famous diary and starts writing poems. Juan sells some of them to a rapper named Deuce, but when Deuce lands a major record deal, Juan is forced to steal more and more. As Cynthia struggles with Juan, she must also deal with her concerned best friend, Kitty .
