Distraught after a recent breakup with his girlfriend, aspiring painter Páll spirals into a deep depression. As his behavior grows increasingly erratic, Páll's parents, who can no longer tolerate his violent outbursts, institutionalize him. During his rehabilitation, Páll encounters a cast of eccentrics, including Óli, a self-professed songwriter for the Beatles, and Viktor, a man who believes he's Adolf Hitler .
