In the mid-1960s, a quartet of aspiring Boston musicians decide to form a rock band, modestly dubbing their group the Remains. Their accessible sound garners them a local following, and soon they're being booked for shows alongside well-known performers like the Supremes, The Byrds and the Temptations. At one point, the Remains even opened for the Beatles. Narrated by fellow Massachusetts rocker Peter Wolf, this documentary examines why the group never quite broke through to stardom.
