In 1967, Rat Kiley is stationed at a deserted outpost in Vietnam with a group of fellow army medics. He witnesses a strange series of events when his buddy Fossie brings his teenage girlfriend, Marianne, from back home to join them at their quiet headquarters. Marianne slowly loses her innocence as she grows obsessed with combat. Without warning, she accompanies a group of Green Berets on a dangerous mission, and Fossie sets out to find her.
