This anthology presents three animated short films by Russian director Andrei Khrzhanovsky. Inspired by the life and work of revered poet and artist Alexander Pushkin, this trio of shorts combines the writer's words with images based on his own sketches. A bold figure who wrote and spoke out against Czarist rule, Pushkin championed social issues and fought against censorship, and these aspects of his life -- and more -- are depicted in these animated tales.
